Record Map
This map is predicated on the idea that taste in music amounts to a world-view. This map charts my record collection. Genres of music are represented by continents in the shape of a defining figure from that genre. For example, the rock and roll continent is in the shape of the Beatles. Bodies of water represent records I don’t have.

To an American viewer the events listed in the United States of Arabia are familiar (Columbus’ discovery of America, Clinton’s impeachment, etc.) but the dates appear to be off by about six hundred yeas. They have in fact been labelled with the dates they occured on the Ilsamic calendar.
